Sunshine On A Winter’s Night (Now Wouldn’t That Be Nice) {A Poem}

Hello winter cold, it seems you didn’t come alone; sun, sleet, snow, lightening, hail and rain all in one day! To be honest it’s more the freezy wind that gets to me, especially first thing out and about in the mornin’. Though I must confess I do love the cosiness it brings indoors when it’s wild outdoors, but only really during the festive season of December when I can stay home and not have to face the blistering weather. Now it’s January and it’s hard to remember there’s a light at the end of the tunnel with the festive bright lights that once flashed and twinkled all night, now taken down and put away until next time. Now it’s a New Year with its new and some renewed realities away from the festivities.

Just imagine sunshine on a winter’s night, now wouldn’t that be nice! To feel the glow and heat of the sun in the snow when the day is said and done. Dark won’t be a gloomy dark night after all, but a mark of a beautiful twilight that shines brighter than the stars when they’re away strumming on their guitars, to prepare for the full night they share their art to make it all ours.

I guess we must be made of the earth, just like the weather has its seasons so do we; we have our different reasons for whatever reason it may be ,but ultimately we all feel the same heart beat. Though the winter outside brings a touch of cold to our warm, which just seems to make doing things that much harder, but it never tears us apart just further together!  Maybe it freezes until the summer melts our heart in the shape of some kinda’ art that makes the sunshine glow from within the dark?……well…..

Just imagine sunshine on a winter’s night, now wouldn’t that be nice! To feel the glow and heat of the sun in the snow when the day is said and done. Dark won’t be a gloomy and dark night after all, but a mark of a beautiful twilight that shines brighter than the stars when they’re away strumming on their guitars, to prepare for the full night they share their art to make it all ours to go all out.

Maybe the weather predicts how things are going to be and how it wants us to feel, to teach us lessons out on the field, well if so it sure is making a strong point indeed! And I have to say it is making me reflect and see the true beauty this time of year brings, gives me a chance to count all my blessings.

So maybe there is sunshine on a winter’s night after all!
