Like most tots I use to watch Winnie the Pooh and now looking back I see the amount of wisdom that is in this cartoon that I once thought was cute but silly. It’s weird how when you’re a kid it has a different meaning and when you get older you can see things from a different perspective, (in some cases things become a lot more clear and others its gets a bit fuzzy lol). So we’ve been experiencing some beautiful sunshine here in the U.K., which inspired me to write this little piece, although today it’s been pouring down with rain pretty much all day! Nevertheless this poem is not really about the weather outside it’s more to do with our inner sunshine Continue reading A Sprinkle of Sunshine……..
Although, I think happiness should be something we think and talk about all the time (in a round about way it is something we do everyday, but it’s just not as obvious). Continue reading In Celebrations Of Happiness xXx
I happened to stumble upon a letter by Horace Walpole, who happened to stumble upon the Persian fairy tale “The Three Princess of Serendip” on his trip and sent it to his friend Horace Mann.
Now this wasn’t planned, but something came from this dreamland, Continue reading Serendipity ……

“Perhaps it is good to have a beautiful mind, but an even greater gift is to discover a beautiful heart”
So on the off chance I watched A Beautiful Mind a few years ago , and found the whole concept of the movie pretty intriguing. And then recently I’ve specifically wanted to watch movies that make me think and highlight issues which we rarely know about or see in most films. As a result, I freshly re-watched A Beautiful Mind to see it from a more observant view. Continue reading A Beautiful Mind (2001): A Mini Movie Review
“It always implies a secret or unconscious intent, if not of each one of us, at all events of society as a whole” Henri Bergson
The best part of life has to be when we laugh so hard and uncontrollably that we can’t even speak, yet somehow we are able to sit there and clap away like a seal even though we are struggling to breathe! Laughter is undoubtedly a great part of our lives and occurs when something funny happens and/or is said in a comical way.
In Henri Bergson’s Laughter: An Essay on the Meaning of the Comic, the author wants to define the comic but not in a way that results in a rigid definition of the word, his main emphasis is to see the relevance between art and life; so he looks into the comic’s role as part of human life in order to have a better understanding of society and the individual human imagination, as well as of the collective imagination. As a result he explores why people laugh and what laughter actual means, by looking into what it is in us that makes us laugh and explores what it is in language that makes a joke funny.
